  1. Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
Arrival. Namaste! We are warmly welcomed the traditional Indian way with hands clapped together at the airport and transferred to our hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax.
  2. Day 2 - Delhi/Nagpur/Pench (Flight & Drive:100 km/2 Hours)
Today we are transferred to the airport for our flight to Nagpur. On arrival at Nagpur we are met and driven to Pench. Located on the southern edge of the Satpura mountain range, the park is divided into two nearly equal halves by the river Pench that meanders through it and gives the park its name. The park is a large forest tract about 1500 sq kms in area spreading across the two states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The jungle is a mosaic of rocky patches, wooded hills, backwaters of the river and vast grasslands akin to the African Savannah. Pench was declared a National Park in 1983 and given a tiger reserve status in 1992. The remainder of the day is free.

  3. Day 3 - Pench
pench-national-park Morning safaris start shortly after sunrise. Along with the thrill of tiger tracking, is a memorable stop for a picnic breakfast. Afternoon safaris last a couple of hours and end at sunset. A safari drive in Pench is a study in contrasting habitats made very interesting by the interpretation of an expert naturalist on the importance and role of each region. While the rocky areas have been known to have good leopard sightings, the riverside offers panoramic views and many birds to tick off. Tree hollows are favoured roosting spots for the Indian Scops Owl. They sit unmoving and so well camouflaged that it usually takes the trained eyes of a naturalist to point them out. Jungle owlet and the Spotted Owlet are some of the other smaller owls seen frequently on a safari. Some of the biggest herds of spotted deer and Gaur are seen grazing on succulent grasses along the backwaters of the Pench National Park. In recent years the boost in tiger numbers has made them more visible, leading to some excellent tiger spotting for visitors in the park. Malabar pied hornbills perched usually in twos on dry branches make for a lovely photograph. Please Note: Bandhavgarh National Park is closed from 1st July to 15th October each year. Afternoon safari on Wednesday is closed too.
    Meals Included
  4. Day 4 - Pench/Kanha (Drive: 220 Km/ 5 Hours)
kanha-national-park Today we drive to Kanha National Park. This is the place that has been described by Rudyard Kipling in his great book "The Jungle Book". Kanha National Park is a tiger reserve that extends over an area of over 940 square km. On arrival in Kanha National Park, we check in at Banjaar Tola- A Taj Safari Lodge. This safari lodge is situated along the banks of the Banjaar River overlooking the heart of Kanha National Park. In the afternoon we explore the National Park. Please Note: Kanha National Park is closed from 1st July to 15th October each year. Afternoon safari on Wednesday is closed too.
    Meals Included
  5. Day 5 - Kanha
kanha-national-park Morning safaris start shortly after sunrise. Along with the thrill of tiger tracking, is a memorable stop for a picnic breakfast. Afternoon safaris last a couple of hours and end at sunset. The guests at Banjaar Tola get comfortable in specially designed safari vehicles and make their way towards the Kanha National park. Driven by an experienced naturalist the guests are greeted with dense jungles, grasslands laden with mist and a deep orange orb for a sun in the sky; – a typical mystical Kanha morning. Misty cool mornings are a trademark of the region even during the warmer months and make for fabulous photographic opportunities. Kanha is rich in biodiversity with an excellent population of tigers and leopards. The Barasingha (hard ground swamp deer) are the mascots of Kanha and herds can be seen in grasslands as well as in Tals or ponds feeding on aquatic plants. During the breeding season in winter, it is interesting to watch the big males decorate their antlers with leaves and grass to attract a doe. Bird enthusiasts find Kanha a treasure box of winged gems. Scarlet Minivets, Rosy Starlings and the vibrant blue of Indian rollers are startling in their beauty, while some others have amusing calls Please Note: Kanha National Park is closed from 1st July to 15th October each year. Afternoon safari on Wednesday is closed too.
    Meals Included
  6. Day 6 - Kanha/Bandhavgarh (Drive: 270 km/ 6- 7 Hours)

This is also the White tiger country. On arrival in Bhandavgarh we check in our Hotel. Later in the afternoon we explore the National Park Please Note: Bandhavgarh National Park is closed from 1st July to 15th October each year. Afternoon safari on Wednesday is closed too.

  7. Day 7 - Bandhavgarh
badhavgarh-national-park Morning safaris start shortly after sunrise. Along with the thrill of tiger tracking is a memorable stop for a picnic breakfast complete with freshly plunged coffee and an assortment of teas. Afternoon safaris last a couple of hours and end at sunset. Bandhavgarh, with one of the highest tiger densities in the country makes for a safari with plenty of action. Guests are kept enthralled as the professionally trained naturalists interpret the jungle calls and read tracks of animals. A big predator on the move makes animals like deer and monkeys sound a warning, resulting in the jungle resounding with various alarm calls. These calls are then used by the naturalist to anticipate movements of the predator. Guests also learn to identify melodious bird song, like those of the Asian Koel, Magpie Robin and the Coppersmith Barbet. However, an unforgettable animal sound that stays long after the safari is done is the deep roar of a tiger either marking territory or calling for a mate. Please Note: Bandhavgarh National Park is closed from 1st July to 15th October each year. Afternoon safari on Wednesday is closed too.
